About Lanling Ballet (Tainan City Ballet)
Established in 1997, Lanling Ballet, also called Tainan City Ballet is the very first ballet company founded in Tainan City. Over the years, Lanling has left its footprints in every corner of Tainan. Our stages span from prestigious cultural centers and museums to vibrant public plazas, parks, temple courtyards, and quiet fishing villages. By bringing classical dance into open-air venues, we bridge the gap between refined performing arts and the general public. Under the rich cultural inclusivity of Tainan, we have breathed new life into Western performing arts, making it resonate deeply with the local community and allowing citizens to experience the beautiful harmony of art and daily life. Beyond Tainan, Lanling frequently tours across Taiwan—including Taipei, Zhongli, Yuanlin, Pingtung, Taitung, Penghu, and Chiayi—leaving lasting impressions on audiences nationwide.
